- Evidence Submission: new evidence may be filed within 90 days of the Board receiving the appeal.
- Hearing: a videoconference, in-person, or virtual hearing is scheduled before a Veterans Law Judge.
- The docket choice cannot be freely changed later, so it should follow the evidence strategy rather than the wait time alone.
- Board decision timeliness statistics are published by the Board in its annual report to Congress.
