Esteban Magallon is accredited by the VA Office of General Counsel under 38 CFR § 14.629 and is not an attorney; Oakridge Claims is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice or services outside of representation before the Department of Veterans Affairs. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of Defense, or any other government agency. VA accreditation means only that the individual has satisfied VA's requirements to represent claimants in matters before the Department of Veterans Affairs. It does not imply government endorsement.
Scope of Services
As a VA-accredited claims agent, Oakridge Claims is authorized to prepare, present, and prosecute claims for benefits before the Department of Veterans Affairs, subject to the standards of conduct in 38 CFR § 14.632 and the fee rules in 38 CFR § 14.636. Our appeals-focused practice includes Special Monthly Compensation (SMC) decision reviews, Higher-Level Reviews, Supplemental Claims, Board appeals, effective-date disputes, CUE motions, TDIU, and DIC appeals. We handle claims, increases, and appeals. Initial claims and increases are accepted case by case — no fee is charged for work before VA's first decision. Initial and increased-rating/new claims are considered case by case. Survivor representation is limited to DIC, with initial DIC claims considered case by case; we do not handle caregiver programs, CHAMPVA, pension, burial, or other non-DIC survivor benefits. We do not guarantee any particular outcome, award, effective date, or rating decision.

Fees and Compensation
No fee is charged for work before VA's first decision on a claim under 38 CFR § 14.636. Eligible post-decision representation is contingent on past-due benefits awarded, at 20%, under a written VA-compliant fee agreement. No upfront representation fees; future monthly benefits are not charged. The written agreement controls the specific engagement, and results are not guaranteed.
