Oakridge Claims is a private VA-accredited claims agent practice founded by Esteban Magallon — a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and Registered Nurse — based in Indio, California, with nationwide and overseas representation through a remote practice. Its appeals-focused work includes Special Monthly Compensation (SMC) decision reviews, Higher-Level Reviews, Supplemental Claims, Board appeals, rating and effective-date disputes, TDIU, and DIC appeals. SMC reviews address potentially overlooked housebound entitlement, regular aid and attendance, higher SMC levels, loss of use, and effective dates. Special Monthly Compensation decision reviews

SMC decision reviews are a featured Oakridge service. The practice reviews VA rating decisions, code sheets, medical and lay evidence, and decision histories for overlooked SMC-S, SMC-L and regular aid and attendance, separate qualifying disabilities that may support higher levels, SMC-R criteria, loss of use, and disputed effective dates. Receiving 100% or SMC-L does not automatically establish further entitlement.

Esteban Magallon's nursing background informs the review of functional evidence; it does not replace a treating clinician's assessment. Oakridge does not provide medical treatment, write medical opinions, arrange caregiving, or represent caregiver-program claims.
