Oakridge Claims accepts initial claims on a case-by-case basis; no fee is charged for work before VA's first decision. Consultations are free with no obligation. For eligible post-decision representation, work may be done under a written 20% contingency fee agreement based on awarded past-due benefits; if no past-due benefits are awarded in that fee-eligible matter, no contingency fee is due under that agreement.

Ongoing monthly benefits are never taken as a fee — only past-due amounts covered by the agreement.
