Overview
Sarcoidosis can affect lungs, heart, eyes, skin, and other organs.
Rating is built around steroid dependence and pulmonary involvement; extra-pulmonary residuals can be rated separately.
How to Establish Service Connection

- Direct: documented exposure or in-service diagnosis.
Rating Criteria

|---|---|
| 0% | Chronic hilar adenopathy or stable lung infiltrates without symptoms or pulmonary impairment. |
| 30% | Pulmonary involvement with persistent symptoms requiring chronic low-dose corticosteroids or other treatment. |
| 60% | Pulmonary involvement requiring systemic high-dose corticosteroids for control. |
| 100% | Cor pulmonale, cardiac involvement with congestive heart failure, or progressive pulmonary disease with fever, night sweats, weight loss despite treatment. |
