Does Oakridge Claims file initial VA disability claims?

    Details

    • What Oakridge specializes in: Higher-Level Reviews, Supplemental Claims, Board of Veterans' Appeals appeals, underrating disputes (a rating that was wrong when assigned), effective-date disputes, TDIU appeals, and survivor DIC benefits.
    • What is taken case-by-case: initial service-connection claims and claims for increase based on a worsened condition — accepted based on case fit and current availability after review, with no fee for representation before VA issues the initial decision. Accredited VSOs also handle that stage for free.
    • Concurrent help is allowed: a veteran can pursue an appeal with Oakridge while a VSO handles a separate new claim at the same time, as long as appointments are properly limited by claim.
    • Fees on appeals are contingency-only: 20% of past-due benefits under 38 CFR § 14.636, paid only if the appeal results in an award.
