What is a C&P exam and what should I expect?

    Details

    • You do not need to prove your condition — describe your worst symptoms honestly, including flare-ups.
    • Bring a written symptom list; examiners commonly under-document what isn't said out loud.
    • You can request a copy of the completed DBQ from the VA after the decision.
    • Missing a C&P without good cause can cause your claim to be denied under 38 CFR § 3.655.
